i haven’t updated this thing since aug 13th…..ahh…what a day…………………………….

so i’m back i guess. maybe.

what’s going on? since august?

well, i got a job, moved, and did alot of…stuff.

sweet.

what did i not do since august?

well, i didn’t go to california, sky dive, or go swimming.

lame.

so i’m gonna have to work on that last bit.

now that i’ve started this blog, i realize that i have nothing to say. it’s friggin 5 in the morning. and i’m not just waking up…i’m not sleeping. and i think i have to wake at around 8. maybe i should go. yes? yes.

true story, true story

so i changed the water in all 4 of the fish bowls yesterday. i did them one at the time so i wouldn’t get them mixed up.

the reason for this is that they all have names  but they all look exactly the same. there’s ringo, paul, george, and john (in that order). the reason for the naming in that order is b/c when we first got them paul would do the weird halfway float-halfway swim at the top. naturally i thought he would die soon. and of course we would replace him with a fish that looked just like him and it would be a fish scandal! paul is dead!

but no. this didn’t happen.

yesterday, sometime between around 4pm and when marshall got here around 10, john lennon went missing. marshall was convinced that i cleaned the bowl but just didn’t put him back in it. impossible. i washed the glasses i used. i think i would have noticed if i’d poured him down the drain. i’m not even sure he’d fit down the drain.

so he’s escaped. tom had a fish that jumped out of its tank and got stuck to the wall behind it. i can only imagine that poor john lept out of his tiny fish bowl and is now somewhere behind the tv (even though we can’t even find him there).

how the heck does a fish escape? seriously.

so unless john has evolved and can now breathe and live outside of water, dear john is dead. (please take a moment of silence to remeber him)

(guess it’s fitting that john died first. guess george is next.)

craft night is for girls

i haven’t been about to attend for like a month and a half it seems. i miss the ladies.

Yesterday Marshall & I went to Jess & Rachael’s. We made some delicious food and ate for a long long time.

We started off with a nice salad:

spinach and endive salad with red onion and pears

Then, onto another salad:

sweet corn and black bean salad served with shiitake bacon

Next was couscous and a lentil salad:

parmesan and green onion couscous

lentil salad with toasted almonds, red onions, cilantro, and lemon zest

There was also calamari and tempura veggies:

fried calamari with 2 dipping sauces: a rosemary aioli and chunky marinara sauce & tempura veggies

Lastly, there was tuna tartare:

tuna tartare with sweet soy reduction, sriracha, toasted sesame seeds, and green onions served with fried wontons

It was super fun…and we nibbled for around 5 hours. Crazy. Yummy. We should do it again.

Sweet Stuff

I’ve done better this week than last with updating this blog….but not much better.

This week has been good.

1. Monday we ate at Zaya (in a “sneak in and see how the food is made when Marshall’s not there” kind of way). It was very good, by the way. We decided to sit outside, and within about 10 minutes of sitting down, all the tables surrounding us were filled with other Zaya people that were off work. It was kinda weird but fun.

2. On Wednesday, we went out for sushi. It was gooooood.

3. After I was done eating, I decided I needed some Glamour Shots!


That’sridiculous.

4. I saw this on the bathroom wall.

Can you read that? I’m not sure if I can only because I actually saw it.
Why would someone kiss the wall in a public bathroom. Ewwwwwwwwww.

5. I <3 Laundry Lounge. They have magazines and a change machine that’ll take 20’s and free wi-fi. They have great signs too!

6. While I was doing laundry yesterday, I started taking apart this sweater that I have that’s super soft but never fit me.

holy crap

So last night, Marshall was listening to some music…and Tupac was on…and all of a sudden we hear “get down. get down on the ground” being yelled. I thought it was part of the song until I realized that it was a little too loud and sounded crazy real. So I looked out the window and there were all these cops running by. I went to the window in the kitchen and see this guy laying on the ground in handcuffs. Crazy. Later, a fire truck was here. Which I thought was kinda ridiculous. Can I get some freakin sleep?

Apparently, this guy that goes around flashing people lived here. In these apartments. Ewwwwww.

But he’s gone now so that’s good.

Ugh.

listening to the pixies and waiting for marshall to hurry home. i’m starrrrvvvvvvvvvinggg. yep.

had a super fun time hanging out and crafting a bit with jenne and rachael today! i really need to get on top of that whole learning to crochet thing. gotta make me a blanket or something!

also, super excited about next thursday. maybe going to the fox. it’ll be fun. hope it happens.

gotta figure out what to wear. and what to wear to my step-bro’s wedding. all my dressier stuff is black it seems. is that bad to wear to a summer daytime wedding? (i love clothes and all but i don’t know/care about the rules that much…don’t wanna be crazy at someone’s wedding though…)

ok. i think i’m gonna go chew on my hand or something….maybe just “taste” the food…as in a plate of it.

Sunday again? Already?

I just realized that I haven’t written a blog since last Sunday.

To be quite honest, I feel like alot of shit is going on in my life right now (not to mention I’m at the laundry mat) so I can’t really concentrate at the moment. I think it would take me 4 hours to do a Sweet Stuff blog so I’ll just tell you guys about yesterday I guess.

I went to the Flea Market at the drive-in with Rachael, Jess, and Jenne. It was fun but I didn’t see anything I wanted to buy except for some rice crispy treats…which I didn’t buy. No one really found much so we went to Value Village after that. I got a clock to sell on etsy, something to hold my records, and a necklace. I haven’t decided if I’ll wear the necklace, make something of it to sell, or just sell it like it is.

Sweet Stuff is back!

This week has been eventful…but I have no pictures from it. I did steal one though.

1. Firstly, I’d like to say that I think I’m in love. I’m sad to think that the relationship might not even happen but I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Wanna see a picture? Of course you do.

She’s on eBay and I need money (and to talk Marshall into it). Keep your fingers crossed with me. I only have a little over a day to do all my money getting and convincing.

2. Chris and Delia had a birthday/bonfire at their house. A trampoline was involved.

3. I found two new Value Villages! I think I love that store. They’re cheaper than Goodwill I think and seem to have better stuff. I’m pretty excited about going back.

4. I got to hang out with my cousin Anna (and her friend) yesterday before they headed over to the 311 show. Let’s just saw we took this picture yesterday. Not Father’s Day. It looks real, right? Alright, I know it doesn’t.

That’s absolutely horrible. Oh well.

5. Oh, check out my friend Jenne’s etsy shop. Did I mention it already on here? I can’t remember. Anyway, she makes great feather hair clips. They’re so cool and kinda make me wish my hair was longer again.
